Michael Mitchell grew up around construction, as his father was an architect and engineer. His older brother was a cabinet maker. Beginning at age 16, he worked as a laborer for a Mennonite builder during the summer months. After graduation, Michael joined the Navy and became a construction mechanic. In 1995, he moved to Lexington, KY. He worked in construction for several years as a carpenter and worked intricately on several restaurant and bar openings. Michael managed the construction and coordinated all phases of the openings. He then worked for five years as a supervisor for a large restoration and remodeling company. In 2006, Michael worked on his own doing several small projects. In January 2007, he launched Mitchell Construction Management, a small personable construction company dedicated to client satisfaction with a focus on restoration and remodeling.

David Noble

David Noble grew up in Fort Wayne Indiana. He attended Anderson University majoring in Philosophy, and received minors in sociology and writing. He then went on to Indiana Wesleyan where he received a Masters in Business Administration. Upon completing his education, David chose to make a career of his true passion: carpentry and construction. He worked for several years renovating dilapidated houses for real estate investors in Fort Wayne. In 2007 David moved to Lexington and began working for Mitchell Construction. His areas of focus are carpentry and tile. Outside of work David is an avid outdoorsman. He enjoys hiking, camping and biking. Recently, David completed his first Marathon.

What sets Mitchell Construction apart is the philosophy. We aren’t interested in being the biggest in town, but we’re focused on being the best. We do whatever it takes to keep every client happy and to maintain the highest standard of quality. We believe if we keep our customer’s happiness our number one priority, the bottom line will balance out in the end.

Mike hails from Homer, Illinois were he grew up working in his parents pharmacy. It was his responsibility to paint and maintain the store after school hours. During high school he worked for a property management company painting apartments. He graduated from UK with a BA in History and a Masters in Social Science Education. For five years Mike taught high school history. The summer months still provided him an opportunity to work construction. Finally Mike decided to return to construction full time in 2006. Since then Mike has been working for MCM and is now in charge of the painting department. Outside of work Mike enjoys fishing, hiking and repelling. His dog's name is Chopper. 

I am constantly amazed at the craftsmanship of our ancestors who accomplished amazing work with less technology. It disheartens me to see houses which are erected with careless efficiency rather than quality craftsmanship.

Cindy Riley

Cindy came to work for Mitchell Construction Management in 2011 as office manager. She was raised in Lexington and developed a love for the unique qualities of the older homes in the area at an early age. She loved spending her free time as a child helping her father remodel and add to houses where they lived, when she was not creating pencil drawings or oil paintings for her own enjoyment. While taking care of the office and paperwork for MCM, being involved with creativity at any level fulfills her love for the creative, so working with Mike and the crew is a great experience as she gets to see the wonderful changes that take place in home remodels, and witness the joy a quality remodel or renovation can bring to a homeowners life. Cindy has one daughter and four grandchildren she absolutely adores, and who occupy the largest portion of her life outside of work and her passions for drawing, reading, and anything outdoors.

Erik Rishel

Erik was born in Indiana but grew up in Michigan. During high school he traveled to Honduras several times on work trips, influencing his decision to become a Spanish teacher. After teaching high school Spanish for over five years, Erik decided to move on to a trade where he could use his hands. Having previously assisted friends and family in various remodeling projects including carpentry, tile, plumbing and roofing. Erik enjoys working with the Mitchell Construction team and learning a different set of valuable skills. In his free time, Erik loves playing music, trying new foods, visiting microbreweries, and beating his friends in Texas Hold 'Em.

Jennifer Atkerson

Jennifer started working for Mitchell Construction Management in 2012 as office assistant to her mother, Cindy Riley, the office manager. Before working for MCM she was a stay-at-home-mom to four beautiful and exciting children, Hannah, Hunter, Jasmine, and James. While working part-time at MCM, she is studying to get her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship in hopes of one day owning her own company.  In her off time she enjoys “hanging out” with family, sewing, studying, reading good books, and going to the gym.

Randy Willeroy

Randy was born in Maysville, KY and grew up in neighboring Fleming County. He attended Eastern Kentucky University, receiving an Associate of Science Degree in Architecture and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management. After graduation, Randy moved to Atlanta, GA where he worked as a construction superintendent for nine years. Randy moved back to Lexington, KY in the early 90's and spent the next 13 years owning and managing his own custom home framing business.

In 2014 Randy joined the team at Mitchell Construction Management as a Supervisor/Carpenter. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family and participating in all types of water sports.
